An appeal is a request to an appeals court to review a decision made by a lower court. The party requesting the appeal ("appellant") typically files an appeal when they believe the lower court made legal error(s) or procedural mistake(s). The party who does not want the decision overturned is called the appellee. At Soule Law, we represent both appellants and appellees.
